Baby Loss & Miscarriage Counselling

Specialist support for individuals, couples, and families who have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death.

Grief that deserves to be heard

The loss of a baby — at any stage of pregnancy or shortly after birth — is a profound grief. Yet it is one that is often minimised, misunderstood, or met with silence. Many people find themselves grieving alone, unsure how to talk about their loss or feeling pressure to 'move on'.

I have completed specialist training with Sands UK — the leading stillbirth and neonatal death charity — to provide counselling specifically for those affected by baby loss. This includes miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, stillbirth, and neonatal death.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve. I offer a space where your loss is acknowledged, your grief is valid, and you can take as much time as you need.

I can support you with

  • Grief after miscarriage at any stage
  • Stillbirth and neonatal loss
  • Termination for medical reasons (TFMR)
  • Ectopic pregnancy loss
  • Anxiety in subsequent pregnancies
  • Relationship difficulties following loss
  • Returning to work after baby loss
  • Supporting a partner or family member through loss

Questions about baby loss counselling

Is it too soon — or too late — to seek counselling?
There is no right time. Some people seek support immediately after a loss; others come months or years later. Grief doesn't follow a timeline, and neither does the need for support.
Can my partner access counselling too?
Yes. I can work with individuals or couples. Partners often grieve differently and may benefit from their own space to process the loss.
What is Sands training?
Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) is the UK's leading charity for baby loss. Their specialist training equips counsellors to support those affected by pregnancy and neonatal loss with sensitivity and expertise.
